The Spain Park girls bowling took on Thompson and Vestavia Tuesday. Thompson jumped out to an early lead and never let up. They are a strong contender for the state title this year. Vestavia was in 2nd place from the start, but the Lady Jags made a strong push in the final Baker game to pull ahead by ONE pin. This means Spain Park swept Vestavia for the first time in at least 3 years. Kyra Whetstone was the top Jag bowler with a 154 traditional game.
