Spain Park's wrestling and boys and girls basketball teams begin postseason play this weekend. 

The wrestling team is competing in their Sectional tournament at Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery on Friday and Saturday, February 6 & 7.  The top 6 individuals in each weight class will advance to next week's State Championship tournament in Huntsville.

The girls basketball team will begin their area tournament at 4pm on Saturday, February 7, against Pelham at Chelsea.  The Hornets earned the opportunity to host the area tournament by winning the regular season championship.  They will host Helena at 5:30pm.  The winners will advance to Tuesday's championship game at 6pm and will also advance to Substate.

On the boys side, Pelham is hosting the area tournament.  Spain Park will face Helena on Monday, February 9 beginning at 5:30pm.  The boys championship match-up will be Wednesday at 6pm.
