Spain Park Athletics

Coach Bill Whitehead graduated from Spain Park high school in 2004 as a part of the school's first graduating class.  He played baseball at Spain Park where he was a three time All Over The Mountain team selection and All State honorable mention.  He went on to play four years of college baseball at Samford University (2005-2008).  Bill has been coaching baseball since 2010.  He began his coaching career as a Varsity assistant coach and the JV head coach at Briarwood High School.  After spending a year as the head coach at Homewood Middle School, he returned to his alma mater, Spain Park, in 2016.  He has been the head freshman baseball coach since then.  He is married to Allison Whitehead and they have three children: Bailey, Callie, and Zeke.
