Spain Park Athletics

David Spencer is entering his 21st year at Spain Park High School. Coach Spencer serves as a Varsity Assistant baseball coach as well as Head Freshmen football coach.  He attended Billingsley (AL) H.S. where he lettered in football, basketball and baseball.  Coach Spencer graduated from Auburn University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education.  Following graduation, he coached for four years at Prattville High School where he was the Head Freshmen baseball coach, Freshmen football assistant coach and varsity defensive line coach.  He came to Spain Park in 2004.  One of the many highlights of his career was being an assistant coach on the 2014 6A State Championship Baseball team.  Coach Spencer and his wife Ashley have 3 children: Clay (19), Addison (16) and Colton (14).
