Will Jacobsen drove in four runs on two hits to lead Spain Park past American Christian Academy 13-4 on Saturday in game 2 of the PBR Kickoff Classic. Jacobsen doubled in the second inning, scoring two runs, and tripled in the sixth inning, scoring two.
American Christian Academy got on the board in the first when Jaylen Crocker drew a walk, scoring one run. Spain Park took the lead in the top of the second inning after Jacobsen doubled to center field, and
Rhys Jones singled to center field, each scoring two runs.
Brody Smith earned the win for the Jaguars. The hurler gave up one hit and one run over four innings, striking out five and walking five. Caleb McAusland took the loss for ACA going two innings, giving up four runs (one earned) on three hits, striking out two and walking three.
Ryne Paquette and
Colin Woodward each appeared in relief for the Jaguars.
Joe Cross and Jacobsen each collected two hits for Spain Park. The Jags had patience at the plate, tallying 11 walks for the game.Â
Spain Park will welcome Briarwood Christian on Tuesday for Senior Night.
