Spain Park fell 4-3 to Hoover in 8 innings on Tuesday at Hoover High School despite out-hitting them three to two.

Slade Bounds each collected a hit for the Jaguars.
Hoover took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning after Jaxson Wood's RBI triple to right field and a Spain Park error scored another run.
The Jags jumped into the lead in the top of the fourth when Bounds singled, scoring two runs, and
Connor Dabbs laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring another.
A Spain Park error in the seventh tied the game at 3, forcing extra innings.
Cameron Lowrey earned the win for Hoover allowing no hits and no runs over four innings, striking out four and no walks. Dabbs pitched three innings in relief for Spain Park. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and two runs (one earned) while, striking out four and walking two.
Nathan Byrd took the loss for the Jags. The righty went 1.2 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on no hits, striking out one and walking six. Davis started the game for Spain Park. The starting pitcher allowed no hits and no runs in just one inning, striking out two and walking two.Â
