Junior Evan Taylor's 3-run home run in the bottom of the first inning sparked Spain Park to a 6-2 win over Vestavia Hills on Thursday night.

Junior Houston Holmes earned the win for the Jaguars. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and no runs over four innings, striking out four and walking four. Gavin Smith took the loss for Vestavia Hills, pitching four innings, allowing six runs on five hits, striking out three and walking three. Junior Cason Weidman collected the save Spain Park.

Junior Connor Greb set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Jags with two hits in four at bats.
