The Spain Park Jaguars defeated Pell City Varsity Panthers 7-3 on Friday in the opening game of Vestavia's Red & Blue Classic.

The Jaguars got on the board in the first inning after a wild pitch scored one run, then added two runs in the second after Maxie Provost singled down the right field line.

Spain Park added a run in the bottom of the third on a solo home run to center field by Allie Whitaker and added to their lead with three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning thanks to home runs by Chloe Wade and Abby King.

Maxie Provost earned the win for Spain Park. The starter gave up three hits and no runs over three innings, striking out five and allowing no walks. Atkinson took the loss for Pell City.
